Andrew is the longest serving governor at George Spencer, having started as a parent governor in 1999.
Both of his daughters attended George Spencer from year 7 through to the end of the Sixth Form.
He is the chair of the Finance & Business Development Committee and a member of the Admissions and Personnel Committees. He is also a member of the Standing Committee.
Andrew is a former employee of The Boots Company of some 34 years. His background and experience is in the area of procurement.
Michelle has been a Governor of George Spencer for around 9 years and chairs the Personnel Committee. Her background is in HR and she is employed as a Senior HR Business Partner for Dairycrest. She became a member of the Trust when it was first established in August 2010.
Jonathan Dale, MSc Interactive Media, BSc (Hons) Science
Director, International Leadership Development, UCL Institute of Education (IOE), University College London
Jonathan leads an innovative department at the IOE that offers a wide range of research, consultancy and leadership development services that contribute to education systems reform. His responsibility includes the design and delivery of programmes and qualifications that are delivered online or internationally and can be contextualised to meet the needs of different education systems world-wide. He is currently leading projects in Qatar, India and China.
His previous roles include; Director, International, National College for Teaching and Leadership, DfE, Nottingham and Director, School Leadership Development and e-Learning, National College for School Leadership.

Jill is currently employed as Project Director within another Trust with responsibility for strategic governance, safeguarding and projects. She has experience in project management, academy conversions, conducting safeguarding and governance reviews and was one of the original governors to establish The Spencer Academies Trust.
